Amplify TLT U.S. Treasury 12% Option Income ETF (TLTP) 3rd Quarter Commentary 2025

The Amplify TLT U.S. Treasury 12% Option Income ETF (TLTP) seeks investment results that generally correspond to the performance (before fees and expenses) of the Bloomberg U.S. Treasury 20+ Year 12% Premium Covered Call 2.0 Index. TLTP provides convenient single ticker access to a weekly covered call strategy offering opportunities for a higher level of income and capital appreciation on the shares not covered by calls.

The third quarter of 2025 was defined by a steepening U.S. Treasury yield curve and continued volatility in long-term rates, as investors responded to evolving Federal Reserve policy and fiscal developments. The 30-year U.S. Treasury yield fluctuated between approximately 4.6% and 5.0%, reflecting shifting expectations for the timing and magnitude of future rate cuts amid persistent inflation pressures and fiscal uncertainty.

In the early part of the quarter, yields moved higher as inflation readings exceeded expectations and political uncertainty led investors to demand higher compensation for inflation risk. By late August, however, a cooling labor market and slowing economic activity prompted the Federal Reserve to cut its policy rate by 0.25% in September, marking its first reduction of 2025. The move helped ease inflation concerns and contributed to a decline in long-term yields heading into quarter-end.

Amid these market dynamics, the Amplify TLT U.S. Treasury 12% Option Income ETF (TLTP) effectively executed its systematic weekly covered-call strategy, capturing elevated option premiums during periods of rate volatility. This disciplined approach provided steady monthly income while helping mitigate downside risk in a fluctuating interest-rate environment.

As of September 30, 2025, TLTP reported a distribution rate of 12.07% and was consistent with its annualized 12% option-income objective. Looking ahead, continued long-term yield volatility is expected to provide a supportive backdrop for TLTP’s income-oriented strategy in the quarters ahead.
